200 billion kilowatt hours of thermal energy per year – roughly the entire energy consumption of the German state of Hesse – are released into the environment as unused waste heat by the German industry.

In the new film by VDI ZRE, “Generating electricity from industrial waste heat”, two companies show how they generate electricity from this valuable energy and thus contribute to resource conservation.
